LO1 |
Advanced skills in media production, as demonstrated in individual roles and team work, culminating in the production of various videos in which a specified amount of action that is shot at an off campus location. |
LO2 |
Ability to edit together a coherent production that includes graphics and extra media from different sources. |
LO3 |
Ability to do reconnaissance work, risk assessments and map out locations with a view to develop a shooting, lighting, and audio plan that will best suit the production at hand. |
LO4 |
Demonstrate a deep knowledge of production techniques, research and routines/processes of the media industry, as evidence in the preproduction and production files, subsequent project management and supporting material. |
LO5 |
Critically evaluate media roles and skills in production work and the wider context of production via personal project evaluation and project presentation and screening. |
Indicative Content |
Shooting and Editing Productions
Enabled by the skills learned in Cinematography and Post Production students will go out to create on-location video productions for a specified audience.

Pre-Production
Productions will be shot off-campus with outsourced actors, meaning there will be a strong need for higher pre-production skills. Locations need to be secured, talent screen tested, risk assessments completed etc.

Audio Production
An advanced ability to record dialogue, atmospheric audio, and foley in order to mix together a more professional soundscape.

Critical Evaluation
Students cognitively learn from assessing their productions and their role within through reflective, critical analysis. Learning outcomes must be discussed and an awareness of what should be done in future will be flagged by students.
