Indicative Content
Structure of skin and hair
Basic structure of skin and hair. Sebaceous and sweat glands. Melanocytes and skin/hair pigmentation. Ethnicity and hair.
Sun and skin cancer
Topical carcinoma, melanoma. Sunscreens and ageing. UV light sources
Dermatitis & eczema
Common irritants and contact dermatitis. Psoriasis. Insect bites.Drug treatments.
Viral conditions
Molluscum contagiosum. HPV and other viral conditions. Common warts and their treatment.
Wound treatment
Dressings. Sterile powders. Antibacterials, sterilising agents including nanoparticles.
