Analyse, prepare and evaluate results within a finance for sport 1 framework and present recommendations. |

Use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to achieve learning outcome 2 and learning outcome 3 of finance for sport 1. |

Introduction to Sport Finance
Role of the finance function, Corporate objectives, agency theory, key developments in finance.

Budgeting and Budgetary Control
Cash flow budgets
|
Financial Statement Analysis and Interpretation
Layout and interpretation of key financial statements, key financial ratios and classification (profitability, working capital, liquidity and capital structure), Calculation and analysis of key ratios for assessing financial performance and position of a business, limitations of ratio analysis.

Spreadsheet Software
Use a spreadsheet package to prepare scenarios in relation to financial planning/financial analysis for typical decision making scenarios in finance for sport 1.
