The aims of this module are: • To further develop learners’ detailed and practical knowledge of the Building Regulations, particularly Parts B, K, L and M, so that they can incorporate these requirements into Studio 5 projects • To familiarize learners with the principles of Health & Safety and their implementation in the construction industry • To develop learners’ practical knowledge of the principles of Universal Design • To introduce learners to construction contracts and their administration • To introduce learners to Professionalism and Management, as defined by the RIAI Standard of Knowledge, Skill and Competence for Practice as an Architectural Technologist and CIAT Code of Conduct • To develop learners’ practical knowledge of construction costing
