This module introduces students to the basic concepts of sports development and the various roles within the sports development profession. Sports development within the community is about ensuring appropriate pathways and structures are in place to enable people to learn basic movement skills, participate in the sports and physical activities of their choice, whether they are within mainstream society, within disability, special population or minority groups.
