Resourcing
This module will be resourced within the Department of Computing
Preparation
To prepare the students for work placement there will be a 1-hour tutorial session each week leading up to placement time. Prospective supervisors from our industrial partners will give a presentation to the students on their company, their work, and what is expected of the students during placement. The industrial placement may start in January to March, and will last for six months. This module is assessed as Pass/Fail

Assessment Description
Student placement report of the host enterprise e.g. company organisational structure, the software development process adopted within the organisation, the nature, outcome, experiences, and lessons learnt (reflection) from the placement.
A report from the Employer regarding the student performance on placement along with a student diary & work logs verified by Employer will also be required for submission.
Students may also have to participate in Peer group presentations concerning their placement.
