Module Description: This module aims to to give students an understanding of Irish law and regulation as it pertains to the tourism and event management sectors. It will enable students to recognise legal and regulatory issues which arise in both sectors and to ensure compliance.
 
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

LO1 Understand how the Irish legal system operates and the legal principles, including EU and international dimensions, that are fundamental to working in the tourism and event management sectors;
LO2 Apply the fundamental principles of contract, tort and employment law in the context of the tourism and event management sectors;
LO3 Understand the tourism and event management regulatory landscapes, and comply with regulatory requirements;
