Repeat examination
Reassessment of this module will consist of a repeat examination. It is possible that there will also be a requirement to be reassessed in a coursework element.
Reassessment Description
When students are taught core practical Construction Management skills in 100% CA modules the educational strategies typically employed include a classroom/laboratory based approach of demonstration, active participation from the students in practicing the skills in class and continuous feedback from the lecturers on the student’s implementation of the skills while the lecturer addresses student’s questions throughout the session. There are significant issues such as Health and Safety, Educational Integrity etc. around students not acquiring these skills to an adequate level. Students cannot replicate that learning environment outside of the classroom/laboratory setting to learn these skills in order to prepare for a repeat opportunity. On that basis unless students have attained a 35% in their CA work throughout the year that they are not deemed to have met the requirements for a repeat opportunity.
